Is My Friend's Baby In Heaven?

If your belief is in the Holy Bible, as mine is, the
answer is in fact yes! It isn't "yes" because we feel the
answer should surely be to the affirmative, it is so because God is just.
Hell was created for those who reject Him, not for the innocent little
ones. When a baby dies, he/she is instantly in God's presence.
Jesus speaks of these little children when He says,
"Their angels always see the face of My Father." Jack Hayford
explains this verse in his book "I'll Hold You In Heaven" in the
following passage.
"His meaning is clearly that - notwithstanding
every child's inherent potential for sinning - small children, yet in their
innocence, still enjoy an uninterrupted discourse with the heart of God."
We don't know what age this is broken and it's likely
that it is different for each child. It is clear though that the unborn,
stillborn or small infant is still in that union. Does this mean that a
toddler would not be in Heaven? This is not what I am saying - the Bible
does not tell us the "age of accountability", just that there is
one. Let's bear in mind that God is just and it is not His will that
"any should" go to Hell.
Let's look at King David in the Old Testament. One
of his sons died only days after he was born. David's statement at the
child's passing was, "I shall go to him..." What David is
referring to is that he will see his son in heaven when he himself dies.
I'm not a theology
major or a minister of any kind - I am simply stating my beliefs based on what
I've read in the Bible. For a more in depth explanation you should acquire
a copy of the book I mentioned above.
